PRIVACY POLICY

Glacier Gully

Last updated: 11 August 2026

The short version

Who this applies to

This policy covers the iOS app Glacier Gully. It explains what the app does with information on your device and what — if anything — leaves it.

If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and we will answer.

What we do not collect

Glacier Gully does not collect, transmit or store personal data on any server we control, because there is no such server. Specifically, the app contains no advertising network, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no attribution or install-tracking code, and no third-party libraries that transmit data.

We do not know your name, your email address, your device identifier or your location. We cannot build a profile of you, because nothing is sent to us to build one from.

Photos and camera

Glacier Gully lets you put a photo — your face, a friend's, a pet's — onto Nib the penguin. This is the only part of the app that touches your camera or photo library, and it is entirely optional.

What happens to the image

Why we can state that plainly

The app has no code that uploads an image. This is not a feature we switched off — the capability does not exist in the software. The only network activity the app performs at all is described further down.

Removing it

Open Settings inside the app and tap Remove under Custom Face. This deletes the image file from your device. Deleting the app removes it as well, along with everything else the app has stored locally.

Permissions

Choosing an existing photo uses Apple's system picker and requires no access to your photo library at all — the app only receives the single image you pick. Taking a new photo asks for camera permission, which you can decline or revoke at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the game works exactly the same either way.

Game Center

Glacier Gully offers optional leaderboards and achievements through Apple Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the app submits your run distances and achievement progress so they can appear on the boards.

Apple's privacy policy is at apple.com/legal/privacy.

iCloud

So your progress survives a new device, the app can store a small profile — distance travelled, currency, which upgrades and fish you have unlocked — in your own iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage.

Notifications

Glacier Gully can remind you when a chest is ready, when the Daily Gully is waiting or when a streak is about to lapse. Every one of these is a local notification, scheduled on your device by iOS.

The app has no push notification capability, no device token and no server that could send you anything. Permission is requested the first time a chest completes — not at launch — and you can turn individual categories off, or all of them, in the app's Settings.

Network activity

The complete list of what the app does over a network connection:

That is all of it. The game is fully playable offline — runs, cards, the album, the skill tree and your progress all work with no connection, and sync when one returns.

Children

Glacier Gully is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There is no chat, no user-to-user messaging, no advertising, and no way to spend money in the app.

Game Center has its own age controls, and Screen Time can restrict it. If you are a parent or guardian with a question, please write to us at the address below.

Purchases

There are none. Glacier Gully has no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising. Everything in the game is earned by playing, so we never handle payment information of any kind.

Your data and how to remove it

We hold no copy of any of it, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf — and equally, nothing we could restore for you.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does with your information, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Should a future version ever collect something it does not collect today, that change will be described here before it ships.
